What is....

Divided Horizons is a competitive Sci-Fi card game where players build powerful decks, execute strategic plays, and battle for dominance in a fractured future. Every match is a test of skill, resource management, and tactical decision-making.

Divided

Build, Deploy, Conquer

At the heart of Divided Horizons is a dynamic cycle of strategy and resource management. Players draw cards to build their hand, generate Battle Points (BP), and then use those points to deploy weapons, activate powerful strategies, and equip critical items. Every decision brings you closer to seizing your opponent’s base and expanding your faction’s influence in a fractured world. It’s a constant balance between building your forces and launching decisive attacks!

The Battlefield – Mastering the Lanes

Victory hinges on your command of the battlefield, which is divided into three distinct lanes:

  • Attack Lane: Where your equipped models deal damage to enemy units and their base.

  • Defense Lane: Your first line of protection, intercepting enemy assaults and absorbing incoming damage.

  • Support Lane: A versatile zone for deploying traps, turrets, shields, and other strategy cards that can tip the scales in your favor.
Smart lane management lets you defend effectively while setting up lethal counterattacks—every lane is a battlefield of its own.

Forge Your Arsenal – Card Types & Customization

Divided Horizons offers a rich variety of card types, each with its own tactical purpose:

  • Equipment Cards: Attach weapons and gear to your models to boost their combat potential.

  • Strategy Cards: Deploy one-time effects to disrupt your opponent or bolster your own forces.

  • Traps & Support Cards: Set up reactive plays and continuous bonuses to control the flow of battle.

  • Leader & Mission Cards: Anchor your deck with unique faction abilities and game-altering objectives.
This diversity allows you to tailor your deck and playstyle, ensuring that every game is a fresh strategic challenge.

Tactical Combat – Precision in Every Turn

Every turn in Divided Horizons is a carefully orchestrated sequence of tactical decisions:

  • Resource Phase: Draw cards, gain BP (up to a limit), and ready your reloading models.

  • Deploy Phase: Use your BP to play cards and position your models into the appropriate lanes—each deployment is a strategic investment.

  • Action Phase: Execute attacks, activate abilities, and adjust your formations. With mechanics like “Reload” (rotating models to indicate they’ve acted) and “Ready” (resetting models for new actions), timing is crucial.

  • End Phase: Resolve lingering effects and prepare for the next round.

This structure rewards precision and planning, making every decision critical to your success.

Keywords – Amplify Your Tactical Prowess

Keywords are powerful modifiers that add unique twists to your cards and strategic options. They’re factored into each card’s BP cost and can dramatically influence gameplay. Key examples include:

  • Auto: Allows a model to attack twice in a turn.

  • Burn: Prevents a damaged model from healing for one turn.

  • Overcharge: Lets you pay extra BP to increase damage output.

  • Piercing: Causes any excess damage to carry over and hit the enemy base.

  • Siphon: Converts damage dealt into healing for your base.

  • Spread: Inflicts half damage to adjacent models, creating ripple effects.

  • Suppressive Fire: Temporarily stops an enemy model from attacking or defending.

Mastering these keywords allows you to craft intricate combos and outmanoeuvre your opponent with creative strategies.

Attack & Defence Mechanics – Engage in Tactical Showdowns

Combat in Divided Horizons is where strategy meets execution:

  • Attack Declarations: In the Action Phase, the active player simultaneously declares all attacks using models in the Attack Lane equipped with weapons.

  • Defensive Responses: The defending player then selects models in the Defense Lane to block each source of damage—each blocker can only engage one attack at a time.

  • Damage Resolution: Damage is subtracted from a model’s defense points; if a model’s defense is reduced to zero, it is removed from play. Defending models also counterattack using their equipped weapon’s damage, and both attacker and blocker enter a reloading state.

  • Reload & Ready: Once a model has attacked or defended, it must be “reloaded” (indicated by a 90-degree rotation) and can only act again after being “readied” in the next Resource Phase.

This interplay of attack and defence ensures that every combat encounter is a high-stakes, tactical exchange.
